Residents heard loud explosions around 6 a.m. on Monday but found nothing amiss at that time. About 4 p.m., residents discovered the body of a man lying on his back in the bushes; he appeared to have been shot several times. The deceased remains unidentified and the circumstances surrounding the shooting are under investigation. Police are investigating the homicide; no arrests have been made.
