The victim was at the beach with a group of friends when she was introduced to a man identified only as Keron, whom she knew only through previous telephone conversations and had never met in person before. The woman alleged that while sitting together on chairs on the beach, she and the suspect shared a kiss before he raped her. After the incident, she left the beach with her friends and returned home before making a formal report at the nearest police station. On Tuesday, June 17, the victim attended Maracas Bay Police Station, where investigators revisited the scene with her to gather additional evidence.
