North Coast Road, vicinity of Maracas Bay / Las Cuevas, Maracas Bay Village , San Juan - Laventille

A 21-year-old food vendor from Diego Martin was forcibly abducted from her home around 7:05 p.m. on Monday by a 22-year-old labourer from Caura Road, El Dorado, with whom she had a romantic relationship. The suspect forced her into a blue Toyota Axio and drove north along the North Coast Road toward Maracas Bay and Las Cuevas. A Traffic Warden from Diego Martin contacted Maracas Bay Police Station around 8:15 p.m. and reported the abduction, providing GPS tracking information that showed the vehicle's location. Officers from Maracas Bay and Blanchisseuse police stations located the vehicle parked approximately one mile north of St Michael's Village, Las Cuevas. The victim was found in the front passenger seat with visible injuries to both knees and apparent blood on them. Upon seeing the officers approach, the victim exited the vehicle and ran toward them screaming "Please! Please! Please!"
