Officers of the Central Division Task Force Area South seized over 60 cannabis plants during a search at Ben Winchester Street, Maingot Village, Claxton Bay on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. A makeshift greenhouse was discovered on the western side of the property containing cannabis plants at various stages of growth in containers of different sizes. Officers also recovered four seedling trays, one watering can, and three bags of manure from the residence. A 33-year-old man was arrested in connection with the seizure. The operation was conducted between 12:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. as part of Operation Steady Guard, which targeted the Claxton Bay, New Settlement, and Dow Village, California districts.
