An 18-year-old mechanic from Quarry Village, Siparia was arrested after estate constables discovered him engaged in sexual intercourse with a 15-year-old minor in the backseat of a silver Nissan Tiida parked on Picton Residential, Lower Barrackpore on Friday, June 26 at approximately 8:20 p.m. Officers conducting mobile patrols along the residential area approached the vehicle and found both occupants naked in the back seat. When questioned, both individuals claimed the sexual contact was consensual. The 18-year-old was detained and transported to Barrackpore Police Station where investigations continued. The 15-year-old victim, from Debe, was referred to Princes Town Health Facility for medical examination and the Child Protection Unit was notified of the incident.
