Police seized a black Glock 19 pistol fitted with a firing selector and a magazine containing twelve rounds of 9mm ammunition during Operation R.E.S.O.L.U.T.E. Shield conducted on Friday, July 3, 2026, between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. in Area North, Central Division. Officers acting on intelligence proceeded to a residence at John Street, Montrose, Chaguanas at approximately 6:00 a.m. and discovered the firearm and ammunition concealed beneath clothing inside a bedroom closet during a search of the premises. A male occupant of the residence was arrested and taken into police custody. He is expected to be charged with Possession of a Prohibited Firearm and Possession of Ammunition. Investigations are continuing.
