Woman sexually assaulted after being taken to apartment (25)

Southern Main Road, Marabella (pickup location); unknown apartment building (assault location), San Fernando

A 25-year-old woman boarded a dark blue Mercedes Benz along Southern Main Road, Marabella around 5:30 AM on early Saturday morning, intending to travel to Port of Spain. The driver, described as strong-built, approximately 5 feet 7 inches tall, wearing a black t-shirt and khaki long pants, allegedly diverted her to an unknown apartment building in a residential area instead. At the residence, the suspect allegedly forced the woman to engage in sexual intercourse against her will. The victim reported the assault to the San Fernando CID and underwent a medical examination at Princes Town Health Facility, where a medical report was obtained. Officers attempted to locate the apartment but were unable to identify it due to the victim's unfamiliarity with the area; investigations are ongoing.
