The bar owner secured the business around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and discovered the storeroom on the southern side had been broken into when she returned at 12:09 p.m. on Wednesday. Thieves stole over $11,000 worth of merchandise including 192 bottles of White Oak rum, 192 bottles of Forres Park Puncheon, various bottles of Johnnie Walker and Absolut Vodka, an unknown quantity of cigarettes, and $600 in cash. Entry was gained by prying open the roof and cutting through the burglar-proofing, with the suspect exiting through the same point. Police from the North Central Crime Scene Department attended the scene and recovered a finger impression from a beer bottle, providing a potential lead in the investigation.
