A 36-year-old Mazda 323 hatchback valued at approximately $10,000 was stolen on Sunday morning from Union Road near Solera in Marabella. The vehicle's 78-year-old owner had secured it around 6 a.m. and discovered it missing at approximately 8:30 a.m. Officers from the Marabella Police Station led by PC Edwards conducted interviews, examined the scene, and reviewed CCTV footage. Alerts were broadcast to the Southern Division Command Centre to assist in the search. The stolen vehicle was spotted in El Dorado later that day and was recovered intact in the Mayaro Police District around 8 p.m. One suspect, 58 years old from Moruga, was detained and is being held at the Mayaro Police Station.
