Police seizure operation yields ammunition and arrests in Tunapuna

Tunapuna district (specific addresses not disclosed), Tunapuna, Tunapuna - Piarco

The National Crime Detection (NCD) unit conducted a search operation in the Tunapuna district between 1 pm and 4 pm on March 6, 2026. Officers searched two houses during the exercise, which was initiated by ACP Singh, Senior Superintendent Gift, and Superintendent Jaikaran, and coordinated by ASP Bharath. One magazine containing 10 rounds of 5.56 ammunition was discovered during the searches. Four male suspects, ages 16 to 23, were arrested. The operation included personnel from the NCD Task Force, Areas West and East.
