A Licensing Officer was assaulted by the driver of a green band maxi while carrying out his duties on Southern Main Road in Curepe on Monday at approximately 10:23 AM. The assailant struck the officer twice in the face with his fist, chased the Licensing Authority vehicle with a wheel spanner, and fled the scene. A 27-year-old suspect from Edinburgh 500 was later identified and arrested in connection with the assault following circulation of a video on social media. The suspect was taken to St Joseph Police Station.
