Market Vendor Struck with Revolver and Robbed of $12,000 in Stock on Southern Main Road

Southern Main Road & Watts Street, Curepe, Tunapuna - Piarco

A 42-year-old vendor was hospitalized after being targeted by two men in a blue vehicle during the early hours of Thursday morning in Curepe. While walking near Watts Street, the victim was accosted by a stocky man armed with a silver revolver and an accomplice wearing a "Marvin Gaye" style hat. The gunman struck the vendor on the head before robbing him of a bag containing $12,000 worth of cellular accessories and his personal phone. The suspects escaped via the Churchill Roosevelt Highway.
