Burglary

Burglary at San Fernando City Corporation Accounts Department

San Fernando City Corporation, Accounts Department, San Fernando

On Friday, June 6, 2025, at approximately 4:35 PM, an accountant secured her office at the Accounts Department of the San Fernando City Corporation and left the premises. She returned on Monday, June 9, 2025, at around 6:35 AM, and discovered that the fire-safe filing cabinet within her office had been tampered with, indicating unauthorized entry. The accountant was unable to confirm whether anything of value was missing from her office. However, the City Treasurer reported that the plexiglass in the reception area had been broken, suggesting forced entry into the department. Further checks within the department revealed no items of value missing at that time. Crime Scene Investigators attended the scene and several individuals were interviewed, but no useful information was obtained. This incident occurred at the same location where approximately $90,000 was reported stolen in a separate recent incident.
