BeethamGang Stages Highway Collision, Robs Three Chaguanas Residents

Beetham Highway near 24th Street, Hell Yard, Port of Spain

Three residents of Endeavour, Chaguanas were robbed after a staged collision on the Beetham Highway near 24th Street, Hell Yard on Friday, June 26, 2026 at approximately 10:20 p.m. The victims were travelling east in a white Ford Ranger when a gold Nissan Almera struck their vehicle from behind; the Almera's driver then insisted they pull off the roadway, convincing them it was a genuine accident. Once stopped, the Almera driver demanded money for the alleged collision and signalled to several other men who quickly surrounded the victims. Two of the victims were beaten during the violent attack. The group stole cash, a gold chain, an iPhone 11, and a gold ring before ordering the victims back into their vehicle and telling them to leave the area. Police are investigating the incident as part of a growing trend of staged collisions used to force motorists to stop before robbing them. Investigators are continuing their enquiries; no arrests have been made.
