LaventilleMan Stabbed by Ex-Girlfriend, Phone Stolen ($2,500)

Upper Laventille Road, Trou Macaque, Port of Spain

A 42-year-old man was stabbed multiple times on his forearms at his Upper Laventille Road home in Trou Macaque on Monday around noon when his ex-girlfriend entered unannounced wielding a knife. During an argument over his car keys on the kitchen counter, she stabbed him to both forearms as he attempted to prevent her from taking them. Fearing for his life, he fled the house and was struck by a bottle she threw at him as he ran. He drove himself to Port of Spain General Hospital where he was treated for his injuries and discharged. After his discharge, his current girlfriend informed him that his ex had also stolen his Samsung cellphone valued at $2,500 from the home. Besson Street Police are continuing investigations into the incident.
