CouvaRetired Officer's Tactical Bag Stolen From Fruit Stall

Fruit stall, Couva, Couva - Tabaquite - Talparo

A retired police officer, 55, had his black tactical canvas bag stolen from his fruit stall in Couva on Tuesday, June 30, while he was attending to customers. The bag contained a licensed Glock 19 Gen 4 9mm pistol, ammunition, magazines, police-issued identification card, badge, and Firearm User's Licence. The victim left the bag unattended on a table for approximately five minutes before discovering it was missing. CCTV footage captured a man posing as a customer taking the bag and walking away; officers from the CID/CRO Special Operations Unit recovered the items hidden in bushes near a car park on Toolsie Street later that evening around 10:40 p.m.
