Two air conditioning technicians arrived at an established business on Henry Street, Port of Spain around 11:30 AM on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 to service a 20-ton air conditioning unit. Upon arrival, they discovered that thieves had broken into the unit and stolen copper piping, the fan motor, and condenser coils. The theft targeted high-value components commonly targeted for scrap metal resale. Police have not yet been reported as investigating the incident; no arrests have been made.
