Xhi Li Li, 49-year-old owner of Yue Hua Chinese Rest and Bar, was found murdered behind the counter of his restaurant on the corner of Manahambre Road and M2 Ring Road in Ste Madeleine on January 18 around 11:50 PM. A customer discovered the crime after seeing blood through the front door opening and alerted police. Officers found Li's body in a foetal position with hands and feet bound together with duct tape, blood around his head and face, and a blood-smeared wooden baton nearby. Police recovered a blue bandana with blood and a gold hoop earring at the scene. Robbery is suspected as the motive, and the Homicide Bureau of Investigations is leading the investigation with no arrests made.
