WASA well station vandalised for copper cable in Syne Village

Moora Dam Road, WASA well station, Syne Village, Siparia

A well station operated by the Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) was broken into during the night in Syne Village along Moora Dam Road. Unknown individuals removed copper wiring and cables from the facility, leaving parts of the station inoperable. The damage was discovered on March 16, 2026 when WASA personnel visited the site and found the cables had been stripped.
